Vandal dents, walks on car in Beachwood Place Mall garage
Monday, July 30, 5:17 p.m. — Police report that someone damaged the hood of a vehicle parked in the Beachwood Place Mall parking garage sometime between 11:55 a.m. and 5:03 p.m. The car was dented and had footprints on it, say police. No suspects have been identified.
Drivers spot man with gun kneeling in Beachwood yard
Thursday, Aug. 2, 11:45 a.m. — Beachwood Police received several reports of a man in military fatigues kneeling in the yard of a home on Richmond Road with a gun, but he was a police officer: the EDGE team was training in the home owned by Beachwood City Schools.
Suspected drunken driver causes accident on Cedar Road
Thursday, Aug. 2, 10:47 p.m. — A Cleveland woman was arrested and charged with drunken driving after police say she hit another car. The second car was stopped in the right lane at a red light at Cedar and Halcyon roads, and the suspect swerved from the left lane, hit the car, and then left the scene, police report. The woman was charged with hit-skip, driving under suspension and drunken driving.
Police asked to disperse juvenile crowd at hotel
Sunday, Aug. 4, 12:19 a.m. — Police were called to the Embassy Suites to help get a large group of juveniles who were hanging out in the back lot of the hotel to leave. The group left without incident.
Handgun found in hotel room
Sunday, Aug. 4, 2:38 a.m. — A handgun was found in the hotel room of someone who had been evicted from Embassy Suites.
