How Beachwood Residents Voted In the 2012 Election
We delve into election results to see how Beachwood residents voted on the presidential, senate and other races down the ballot.
Barack Obama won the national vote and he won in Ohio.
He also won in Beachwood, according to unofficial vote totals from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.
While Cuyahoga County is a Democratic stronghold, Republicans needed to perform well in the suburbs to shave off votes from the president's total.
While Romney performed better in Beachwood than he did countywide — he won 32 percent of Beachwood's vote to Cuyahoga County's 30 percent — he did not do enough.
In addition, Beachwood residents also chose Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown over GOP challenger and hometown native Josh Mandel.
Though all three of these races skewed far to the left in Beachwood, interestingly, the race with the highest percentage of votes for the Republican candidate was for the president.
Voter turnout in Beachwood was 74 percent, higher than the county's 67 percent.
Here's a breakdown of how each of the precincts went for president and for each of the other major races:

fyi, my zip 44122 pops up on line as Beachwood but I really live in Shaker Heights and while i have no objection to my nice neighbors I could care less about daily news items about them- so can't you either re-program to give me Shaker info or just cut me off from the Beachwood info
