Happy New Year from Patch!

It's a new year, and time for new resolutions

Happy New Year! Can you believe it's already 2012?

With each new year, many of us out there make new resolutions. Some may argue that you don't need a certain day of the year to decide to make a change, but what better day than today? It's a fresh start right?

We want to know what your resolution(s) is/are. Did you decide that it's time to join a gym? Maybe you want to try a new food? Or maybe you want to stay in contact with your family better?

Whatever it is, we want to know, so please share with us in the comments section.

In the meantime, here are what some of us Patch editors resolved:

Megan Rozsa, associate local editor: "I want to start believing in myself more. I'm my own biggest critic and I need to quit sweating the small stuff!"

Nikki Ferrell, Beachwood Patch editor: "I resolve to live consciously — taking time to make decisions that are best for my well-being and for those around me, from what I put in my body to how much time I spend in front of my laptop to whether I should tell that car that cut me off exactly what I think of his mother."

Roger Vozar, Hillcrest Patch editor: "I plan to continue a conscious effort to try and relax, take setbacks in stride and take steps to better manage stress."

Colin McEwen, Lakewood Patch editor: "My resolution last year was to smoke a tobacco pipe. This year, I think I will quit."

Amanda Harnocz, Stow Patch editor: "My resolution is to stay in better touch with my friends."

Michelle Simakis, Cleveland Heights Patch editor: "To actually use my Cleveland Heights Community Center pass on a regular basis."

Jason Lea, Mentor Patch editor: "My resolution is to write more happy news. I certainly don't intend to ignore bad news, but it never hurts to spread a little sunshine either."

Kaye Spector, associate regional editor: "My new year's resolution is to maintain my sense of humor."

Morgan Day, North Canton Patch editor: "I'd like to learn how to knit."

Debbie Palmer, Strongsville Patch editor: "I want to have more fun in the new year. I need to remember there's more to life than checking things off a to-do list!"

Mitch Cooper, Twinsburg Patch editor: "While I don't usually do this, I would like to be more generous with my time, giving it to more worthy causes and to help others."

Lori Switaj, Avon Lake Patch editor: "This year it's going to be to continue running five days a week. Or until my right knee goes. Then I'll move to backgammon."
