PALESTINIAN PEACE ACTIVIST SPEAKS AT FAIRMOUNT TEMPLE

Where/When: Fairmount Temple / Friday at 6:15 p.m.

Why Go: Aziz Abu Sarah will offer his thoughts on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process following Sabbath services. Sarah was born and raised in Jerusalem and works as a lecturer and blogger and received the Goldberg Prize for Peace in the Middle East from the Institute of International Education.

MALBEC WINE TASTING

Where/When: Whole Foods / Friday, 5 to 7 p.m.

Why Go: The last tasting for Malbec, a purple grape famous for its use in Bordeaux, had to be canceled due to weather. Now it’s back for your tasting pleasure!

WILL CHESHIER PERFORMING AT PHOENIX COFFEE

Where/When: Phoenix Coffee, South Euclid / Friday at 8 p.m.

Why Go: Praised for his lyrics and guitar skills by Score Music Magazine, regional solo artist Will Cheshier will play Phoenix Coffee house with his blend of jazz, pop, funk and blues.
