UPDATED: Green Road Reopens
Police closed a busy Beachwood Road after a gas leak was reported at around noon today.
Green Road in Beachwood is open again after it closed at Chagrin Boulevard when a construction crew hit a gas line this afternoon.
@BeachwoodPolice Tweeted the closure just after noon today, recommending that drivers avoid the area if possible.
The Beachwood Police Department said that the road was closed between Chagrin and Commerce boulevards. No evacuations took place.
