DNC Platform: 1) Taxpayer-funded abortions; 2) taxpayer-funded condoms for law students; 3) demonize capitalism; 4) demonize success; 5) play the race card; 6) pretend we’re not the Communist Party; 7) feed Israel to Iran; 8) toss God into the dumpster; 9) blame Bush for everything; 10) make Bill Clinton, who was impeached and accused of sexual assault by 6 women, the keynote speaker.

DNC Platform: 1) Healthcare for those with pre-existing conditions; 2) support planned parenthood; 3) demonize billionaires not paying their fair share, paying less than their secretaries; 4) demonize putting money in the Cayman Islands rather than investing in America; 5) play the sexist card equal money for equal work; 6) Noblesse oblige; 7) respect every country's sovereignty; 8) respect everyone's god. this country espouses religious freedom; 9) we can't afford to double down on trickle down. Greed on wall street is as much to blame as the Bush; 10) Respect Bill Clinton as the president who understood economy.
The Wall Street Journal is owned by Rupert Murdoch whose newpapers authorized hacking. I consider Rupert Murdoch as morally culpable as Bill Clinton -- If you want to read and quote from WSJ, then you should listen to what Bill Clinton has to say.

MZ - you're comments are not entirely true. We can't toss God in the dumpster because he's fake. You zealots have not proved he exists yet!
I could write a similar run-on sentence about the RNC, but it would be much shorter
1) Lied
2) Stole
3) Blamed the rest of us

So forget about #8, but thanks for acknowledging the other points!
What was stolen at the RNC? When we're you blamed for anything? Is anyone who beleives in God a zealot or just those you disagree with? I am confused, please help me out.
You have a pretty cool name by the way. We should hang out together (MZ & ZM)! We could be each others alter egos.

There's another of the major differences between the Republican and Democratic conventions. The Democrats are proud to have their former Presidents on the podium, the Republicans keep them hidden. America knows who helps and who hurts and to move ahead you put a car in D and to go backwards you put in in R. The economy works the same way.

Proud of Jimmy Carter and of Bill Clinton, you are so right about that!
The other difference is that Republican presidents try to stay out of the lime light and not get involved in policy discussions after their terms in office.

There's another major difference between the Republican and democrat conventions. Republican former Presidents know when to be silent and not inflict themselves on the American People.

After listening to the DNC tonight, I am even more thankful that I am a democrat. Finally we heard facts supported by statistics instead of condescending platitudes and vitriolic rhetoric based on fallacious reasoning. The fact that Romney/Ryan think that we are so obtuse as to believe their outright lies and convoluted logic is an insult to the collective intelligence of the American people.

Jean,
What a great case you made to change Sandy's mind! Certainly your coupons-for-kool-aid link doesn't exactly describe the "condescending platitudes and vitriolic rhetoric based on fallacious reasoning" Sandy was talking about. I'm sure she'll be headed over to your side of the aisle immediately to see what other good things you have to say. #OHYEAH!

No Patrick,
She'll just have a pleasant taste to drown out the bitterness of supporting a losing effort. HINT: It was sarcasm Patrick, you should be familiar with the term.

“In Tampa the Republican argument against the President’s re-election was pretty simple: We left him a total mess, he hasn’t finished cleaning it up yet, so fire him and put us back in.
“I like the argument for President Obama’s re-election a lot better. He inherited a deeply damaged economy, put a floor under the crash, began the long hard road to recovery, and laid the foundation for a more modern, more well-balanced economy that will produce millions of good new jobs, vibrant new businesses, and lots of new wealth for the innovators.
“The most important question is, what kind of country do you want to live in? If you want a you’re-on-your-own, winner-take-all society, you should support the Republican ticket. If you want a country of shared prosperity and shared responsibility — a we’re-all-in-this-together society — you should vote for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.”
— President Bill Clinton

Bill-
All excellent quotes, and hard to argue with, but I'm sure some will try! By the way, even heard some Republicans praising Bill's speach....Joe Scarborough, Brit Hume.

Two sides of the same coin?
Barack and GWB have so much in common. Barack has followed the path that GWB laid out for him almost completely. Both spend way too much of our money. Both bailed out the auto industry. GWB had TARP 1, Obama had TARP 2. GWB had his prescription benefit, Obama has his ObamaCare. GWB implemented the tax cuts, Obama has maintained them. Both continue to raise the debt ceiling. Both increased spending in their terms far more than what is sustainable. Both enjoy adventures into foreign countries. GWB with the Iraq surge, Obama with the Afgan surge. Both bombed Yemen, Lybia, and Pakistan. GWB used drones, Obama uses drones. GWB had the patriot act, Obama has NDAA. Both have a history with drugs and alcohol. Both find it difficult to reach out to the other party and both “go it alone.” And the list goes on and on...
If you hated GWB, does it make sense to love Obama. If you loved GWB, does it make sense to hate Obama. I personally approve of neither.

The State of Ohio has a bigot/racist on their hands and don't know what to do with him. It is business as usual with Democrats but Republicans and Independents want him gone, gone from politics. He is a cancer to society. The voters have to decide.

tl;dr summary: Black guy says he doesn't use race as a crutch, then spends the rest of the article taking every opportunity to mention he's black and also that he should have gotten contracts from the democrats as a result.
Oh, he also complained about "facts" that weren't true. Namely that there was forced union usage for the democratic convention when it was preferred.
Kind of silly. Read if you want, but don't come asking me for that 5 minutes of your life back when you get done.
