Deer Charges Beachwood Officer on I-271

Officer tries to help doe and her fawn but gives up after doe threatens him

Lesson of the day: don’t bite the hand that feeds. Or charge at the officer trying to help you.

A June 5 report detailing an incident where a doe charges an officer trying to help her hints at frustration, ending with, “They’re on their own.”

Police report that a fawn was spotted stuck on the highway side of the fence near Interstate 271 adjacent to the Embassy Suites Hotel in the Chagrin Highlands at around 10:30 a.m. When an officer arrived, he found the doe on the opposite side of the fence from her fawn, watching her baby and in distress.
