Connecticut School Shooting: Beachwood Schools Officials Respond
School officials offer guidance to students dealing with news of mass school shooting in Newtown, CT
Beachwood City Schools officials have spoken out in response to Friday's mass shooting at a Newtown, Ct. elementary school:
Dear Beachwood Families,
As a school family, we are horrified and deeply saddened to hear of the school shootings in Connecticut. While no security measures can guarantee absolute safety, please know that we work closely with the City of Beachwood Police Department to provide safe and secure learning environments for our students and staff. As you know, the Police Department routinely conducts security drills and exercises in our schools - the most recent concluded just days ago.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the grieving families in Connecticut.
Dr. Richard A. Markwardt
