“Brock is the total package,” said Beachwood head coach Brian Greene. “He is intelligent, fast, and he reads the game well. He can play any position on the field, and play it well. He is very comfortable with the ball at his foot and he moves through teams like a hot knife through butter. I will miss his leadership, smile and dedication to the team.”

A sweeper and midfield attacker, Hersch scored 19 goals and had nine assists as a senior, pushing his career totals to 32 goals and 18 assists.

Beachwood has had several past soccer players earn a spot on the East Region team, including Hersch this year, but he is the first Bison All-American. He will be honored at the NSCAA Convention in Indianapolis in January during the high school All-American luncheon.

Hersch also was named a 2012 Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches second team All-Ohioan and two-time all-Chagrin Valley Conference performer.
