Board Approves Bid for Early High School Renovation Work

The $1.3 million project will include foundation, underground utility work, some demolition

The Beachwood City Schools Board of Education awarded Mr. Excavator, Inc. its high school renovation project early site work at last night’s meeting.

The bid, at $1.3 million, came in at the lowest of eight bids but exceeds the district’s published budget by $94,000, a drop in the $35.6 million bucket budgeted for the whole project.

The work will be in the building’s foundations, underground utilities and some demolition. Turner Construction Company, which is carrying out the plans for the district, recommended the bid.

The Board voted unanimously to accept the bid.
