Beachwood High School Groundbreaking Set

Community invited to free and open-to-the-public event May 26

Plans have been under way for months for the renovation of Beachwood High School, and next week the district will celebrate a big, tangible step in the construction.

The community is invited to the free and open-to-public goundbreaking at Beachwood High School at 5 p.m. May 26.

The renovations, funded mainly by a levy voters approved last spring, will cost approximately $35.6 million. Federal stimulus money will pay a $5.6 million share of the cost.

Renovations are expected to begin in June and end in time for the start of the 2013 school year.

For more info about the construction visit the school's web page.
