Hiroshi's Pub, a favorite local spot for burgers and sushi, closed its doors Saturday night, but a signs on the windows say that something will open there in June.

No word yet from Hiroshi, but now we have heard that another restaurant will go in.

Hiroshi's has not filed a permit with the City of Beachwood to perform major renovations to the building.

We first heard a rumor on the comments of a story on Beachwood Patch last week, and we contacted the restaurant and went to Facebook to try to get more answers. Readers had heard, too, and one remarked that his server Friday night at Hiroshi's had confirmed that it was closing and said that a place called Michaelangelo's was taking over.

Repeated calls to the restaurant Friday night were not answered, and no one answered when a reporter knocked on the door Monday.

But a sign on the windows Monday afternoon read "Remodeling; Opening in June."

We'll keep working to find out more from the restaurant owners.

Editor's Note: Originally we reported that Hiroshi's would reopen in June. We still haven't heard from Hiroshi's with more information.

What have you heard about Hiroshi's? Tell us in the comments!

We heard Michaelangelos is taking over. We were there Friday night and my husband was the person you mentioned in the post.
