Beachwood City Schools and The Agnon School are closed Tuesday due to severe weather.
At the time of the cancellation just before 11 p.m. Monday, more than half of Beachwood FirstEnergy customers were without power.
Hurricane Sandy has ripped up the East Coast and spread winds across the East to Ohio, leaving thousands without power across Northeast Ohio.
