Beachwood Arts Council student art show runs Feb. 5 to 26

The Beachwood Arts Council’s (BAC) 17th Annual Juried High School Student Art Show features the dynamic original work of 80 students from 20 Cleveland area schools.

The public is invited to attend the exhibit's free opening reception honoring the students on Sunday, February 5 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Beachwood Community Center.

Winning entries will be selected by a panel of judges including Grafton J. Nunes, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Cleveland Institute of Art; Steve Hartman, Owner of Contessa Gallery; and George Kozmon, Artist and Festival Director of the Cain Park Art Festival.

Eight top awards will be announced during the reception. In addition, all exhibiting students in attendance at the reception will be acknowledged.

This year’s BAC High School Student Art Show awards are supported by a generous gift from Marcia Emsheimer, Trustee of the Louis M. Emsheimer Fund.

The exhibition will be on view February 5 through February 26.
