Police department’s gate damaged

Monday, Dec. 31, 5:20 p.m. — A Beachwood Police officer noticed non-criminal damage to the gate of the police department on Richmond Road. No foul play is suspected.

Man arrested on theft charge

Monday, Dec. 31, 4:24 p.m. — A man was arrested at Dillards at the Beachwood Place Mall after police say he stole $149 in merchandise.

One arrested after fight involving more than 100

Tuesday, Jan. 1, 1:52 a.m. — A man was arrested at the Embassy Suites after police say he was involved in a fight with more than 100 people in a second floor hallway. The 47-year-old man from Cleveland was charged with assault.
