ENTROVATION is an expo of “Innovative Entrepreneurs” that will be held Friday, April 19, 2013 from 12:00 – 7:00 pm at Beachwood Community Center, 25325 Fairmount Blvd., in Beachwood, Ohio. This event is free and open to the public.
ENTROVATION was created by the Beachwood High School Marketing Education/Junior Achievement class. The students operate the class as a business and are recognized as the “World’s Most Successful Junior Achievement Company.”
ENTROVATION will attract over 130 businesses and 5,000 attendees for a one-day event that showcases out-of-the-box ideas by connecting today’s most innovative entrepreneurs, organizations and businesses with thousands of engaged consumers.
ENTROVATION replaces, and builds upon the previous success of The Green Dream Eco-Friendly Showcase - which was recognized as Ohio’s largest ecofriendly showcase. Through strategic school-business partnerships and with the proceeds from ENTROVATION, the students will build an innovative classroom and school-based enterprise.
Highlights of ENTROVATION include:
- $5000 in total award money will be given to the winners of the Innovative Entrepreneur of the Year (provided by The Burton D. Morgan Foundation).
- Opportunity for exhibitors to sell their products and ideas and to connect with venture capitalists.
- Cleveland’s trendiest food trucks will be on site.
- Digital Art Wall and Mobile Video Game Truck.
Using Smart Technology, attendees of ENTROVATION will be able to interact and vote for their favorite company in the Innovative Entrepreneur of the Year Competition. Businesses will be encouraged to create exciting displays that showcase their innovative products and services and promote them through social media and other marketing tools prior to the ENTROVATION event. This exciting opportunity is made possible by Burton D. Morgan Foundation. Innovative Entrepreneur of the Year awards will be: 1st Place - $3,000, 2nd Place - $1,500, 3rd Place - $500.
