Northeast Ohio Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council has been facilitating a program called Green Building Challenge for the past 2 years. Green Building Challenge is a 5 month friendly competition between commercial building owners and operators. The Challenge involves engaging participants in a designated geographic area or city and helping to build their awareness and implementation of sustainable building practices. Challenges have been completed with Downtown Cleveland, Midtown Cleveland, University Circle and Independence to date. And now we want to know if BEACHWOOD is up to the Challenge!

Calling all commercial businesses and building owners in Beachwood to participate in this FREE series to help you build your awareness and implementation of sustainable business practices. The Challenge runs from February to May and involves participants completing an self-assessment via an online scoring survey and attending three scheduled midday seminars (lunch provided) on a variety of topics that range from energy, water, waste management, recycling, transportation and financial benefits. Assessments are revisited upon completion of the Challenge and results are compared to see how far each business has been able to improve upon  their initial score and how they stack up among the other Beachwood participants.
